What is a YouTube Partner?
A YouTube Partner is a program by Google designed for individuals who share videos on YouTube.By joining this program and enabling monetization, Google will place advertisements from companies registered with Google beside, on, or before your videos. Every time a user clicks on an ad, the advertiser pays Google a certain amount depending on the keyword’s value. Once Google receives the payment, a portion of it is shared with you.
All you need to do is create videos, attract as many viewers as possible, and earn money when your audience clicks on the ads.
Why become a YouTube Partner?
- Over 6 billion hours of content are watched on YouTube each month. More than 300 hours of video are uploaded every minute, with 80% of them coming from outside the U.S.
- Since 2007, YouTube has paid more than $1 billion to its partners.
- In 2015, YouTube officially allowed monetization in Vietnam for videos with advertisements.
- YouTube requires minimal investment of time, effort, and money, while offering unlimited earning potential.
- Once you’ve mastered YouTube, it can become a powerful tool for other money-making methods such as affiliate marketing, dropshipping, referrals, or offers.
Things to note when working on YouTube
- Perseverance:
The first two months are the most critical. Stay committed to your goals. YouTube doesn’t require many skills, but there are many small steps to learn. As the saying goes, "Practice makes perfect." Once you master the basics, you can learn advanced techniques to avoid making mistakes that could lead to your videos, channels, Gmail, or Google AdSense (GA) accounts being banned. - "I already know that":
These three words can be detrimental. If you’re not earning yet, you still have more to learn. Avoid dismissing lessons or guidance with this mindset, as it may close off opportunities for growth. - Failure:
No one succeeds on YouTube—or in any other field—without encountering setbacks. You may lose a few channels, Gmail accounts, or videos, but these are lessons for you. There’s no such thing as failure—only learning experiences. YouTube is not overly difficult, but it isn’t always smooth sailing. Success comes to those who overcome challenges and setbacks.
I often remind my team, "More pain, more gain." If you want something you’ve never had, you must do things you’ve never done. Sticking only to your ways without learning from others will limit your chances of success.
What we will guide you through
- We’ll walk you through every step, starting from the basics, to give you a comprehensive overview of YouTube and help you define your strategy and goals as a YouTube Partner.
- We’ll provide a checklist of tasks so you can track your progress and stay organized.
- We’ll share unique tips and tricks to increase your efficiency and productivity.
Your first steps
- Create a Gmail account:
This is the most time-consuming step in setting up YouTube. Creating Gmail accounts may seem simple, but for those using the re-uploading method on YouTube, you’ll need multiple Gmail accounts and a way to manage them effectively.
Google’s policies discourage spam and may flag accounts suspected of being created in bulk, requiring phone verification. Accounts flagged for verification are often at risk of being locked or deleted. Follow our guidelines to avoid these issues. - Create a YouTube channel:
Similar to Gmail, creating a high-quality YouTube channel trusted by Google requires interaction with your account, especially on Google+ (G+). If you manage to create a Gmail account and a YouTube channel without phone verification, congratulations—you’ve cleared the first hurdle. Continue interacting on G+ and watching videos from your account to build trust with Google. - Get a Visa card:
In the YouTube process, you’ll need paid tools and services to increase your video’s reach. Setting up a Visa card is an essential step.
Goal:
- Successfully create 3 Gmail accounts and 3 YouTube channels without phone verification.
- Obtain 1–3 Visa cards to use throughout your YouTube journey.
